**The request email** is sent under your own name; Flow only helps you assemble the information it should contain. Read it yourself before sending.

**The letter skeleton** is for when a professor has asked you to send a draft to work from. That practice is common in US academia; the letter is reviewed, revised and signed by them, and the responsibility is theirs. **Flow will not draft a letter you intend to submit without your recommender's knowledge.**

The skeleton will **not** contain rankings or comparisons (“top 5%”, “one of the best students I have taught”), how long or how well the recommender knows you, assessments of ability or character, or the closing endorsement. Those are statements your recommender makes on their own academic reputation, and they are what an admissions committee weighs most — generating them would put unverified assertions into an admissions file.

**Some programmes prohibit applicant-drafted letters outright.** Check the programme's own site before you use this; that check is yours to make and Flow cannot do it for you.

Flow reads assignments and events through the Canvas calendar feed link you provide. That link is generated by Canvas and can only read a calendar — Flow cannot use it to see grades, submit work, or act on your Canvas account in any way.

**Imported due dates are a snapshot from the moment of the last sync, not a live view.** If an instructor changes a date in Canvas, Flow will not know until the next sync. Canvas is always the authority; near a deadline, confirm there.

The Canvas feed contains assignments and calendar events only. It does not include Canvas To Do items, assignment text, course files, grades or announcements. Courses are matched by course code; anything that cannot be matched is imported unassigned and the count is shown to you rather than hidden.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Flow is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of or inability to use the service, including but not limited to lower grades, missed deadlines, unfavorable application outcomes, or units not being accepted. You remain responsible for your own academic decisions.

Keep your own backups of anything important. Settings has an export tool; exporting once at the end of each term is a good habit.

Your account is for you alone. Invite codes are sent under your name; do not resell or post them publicly. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.

Because Flow can hold sensitive academic information, we strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication in Settings. Use a password you do not use for your school account.

Flow's AI features make mistakes, including in statements that read as confident. Anything AI-generated is an aid only and is never the sole basis for meeting a course requirement. Your syllabus, Canvas announcements, and what your professor actually said always take precedence over what Flow shows.

AI features depend on a third-party model service, which may be temporarily unavailable or return uneven results.

Deadlines pulled out of a syllabus are AI-identified and may be missing, duplicated, or wrong (especially relative phrasing like “Friday of week N”, time zones, and dates the professor later changed verbally in class).

Missing a deadline is on you. Treat Flow as a reminder, not as the authoritative source for due dates.

AI notes, concept extraction, and exam recaps are compressed summaries of what you uploaded. Compression always loses information, and can emphasize the wrong things or introduce claims the source never made.

For exam scope, grading criteria, and assignment requirements, go by what your professor published.

Importing a timetable or grades from a screenshot relies on image recognition. Common errors include lookalike characters in course codes (0/O, 1/l), start and end times, and which percentage belongs to which weight.

Everything imported stays editable. Check it before you rely on it.

The AI Tutor helps you work through concepts from your own courses. It is not a licensed instructor, academic advisor, or school employee, and its explanations may not match the definitions, notation, or methods your course uses.

Follow your course's academic integrity policy when using the AI Tutor. Some courses prohibit any AI tool on certain assignments; confirming what is allowed is your responsibility.

The AI Tutor does not give medical, mental health, legal, financial, or immigration advice. If you are struggling, please reach out to your campus services or a professional.

The Writing Studio is built to organize ideas and material you have already provided, not to produce ideas for you or write your assignment. What it generates is a draft, not something to hand in as is.

Rules on AI-assisted writing differ sharply between schools and courses and keep changing. Confirming what your course allows and how it must be disclosed is your responsibility. Flow is not responsible for academic integrity findings arising from your use of this feature.

Style analysis is based on past work you submit yourself, and is used only to make drafts read closer to how you write.

California is an all-party consent state (Penal Code §632): recording a confidential conversation without everyone's consent can be a criminal offense. Most schools additionally require the instructor's permission to record a class and prohibit sharing recordings or transcripts.

Flow converts speech to text on your own device; audio is neither uploaded nor stored. The transcript is visible only to you.

Obtaining permission and how you use the transcript are your responsibility. Flow is not responsible for consequences of violating school policy or the law.

The grades page shows scores and weights you entered or imported from a screenshot. It is not an official transcript and does not sync with your school's system. Where they differ, your school's record governs.

Projections are a simple calculation from the weights you entered. They do not account for curves, dropped lowest scores, extra credit, rounding rules, or instructor discretion. Do not use them to decide whether to drop a course or take it pass/no-pass.

Public holidays are computed from published rules and are exact. But each school sets its own first and last day of instruction, finals week, and breaks. Outside UCLA, the term window Flow shows is estimated from the school's system (quarter or semester) and is labeled as an estimate.

You can confirm or correct that window in one click, after which week numbers and breaks follow your dates. For registration, drop, and refund deadlines, always go by what your registrar publishes.

The Cal-GETC area structure, UC transfer unit and GPA minimums, and the application timeline all come from published rules. But whether a specific course at a specific college clears a specific area is per-college, per-year articulation. Flow is not an official source for that and does not scrape ASSIST.

AI mappings from a course to an area are suggestions, are labeled as such, and must be verified against the official agreement on ASSIST.org before you confirm them. Do not register based on an unconfirmed mapping.

This checklist covers general education only. It does not cover major preparation, which is where transfers most often go wrong and which you must ask a counselor about. Check in with your college's transfer counselor every registration cycle.

Reviews are posted by students and reflect one person's subjective experience in one term and one section. Flow does not verify these statements, is not responsible for their accuracy, and they do not represent the views of Flow or of any school.

Community rules: write about your real experience, no personal attacks, no accusations you cannot back up (especially anything alleging illegal or unethical conduct), and no one else's private information. A review reported by three different students is hidden automatically and queued for human review.

By uploading, you represent that you own the material or have the right to use it for your own study. Do not upload copyrighted textbooks, test banks, paid course content, or someone else's work without permission.

What you upload is private to you by default; Flow does not make it public. You can delete it at any time and export everything from Settings.

Rights holders who believe infringing material is present can send notice to the address at the bottom of this page and we will handle it as the law requires.
